These efforts combined would, I believe, assist in ensuring as many owners, their whanau or hapu are kept informed, are consulted and are able to express their views as to the administration of their lands.
Written Reports and Settlement Agreements The appointed mediator must provide written reports to keep the Registrar informed of the progress of the mediation. The mediator is also to record the terms of the resolution reached at mediation and report them to the Judge or Registrar who referred the issue/s to the mediator.
The session on the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law was also very informative. Once the mortgage has been noted by the Registrar, or a certificate confirming the mortgage has been issued, your solicitor can register the mortgage against the title to the land with Land Information New Zealand in the same way that a mortgage would be registered against General land.
The funding is for clean-up of sediment & debris, where mahi has already been completed (either by owners or by contractors) and for any similar mahi to be completed in the future.
