An obvious corollary to that proposition is, subject to the available resources and infrastructure of the trust to cater for such procedures. For example, one ahu whenuatrust has over 8,000 beneficial owners for an area of land less than 200 hectares with income of less than $10,000.00 per annum.
There are two application types you can file under section 214 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993
and rule 12.3 of the Māori Land Court Rules 2011 to form a whānau trust.
Use this form to create an Ahu WhenuaTrust (a land trust) by vesting one or more land blocks in trustees to
manage, as set out in a trust deed/order on behalf of the beneficial owner(s).
