One of the key considerations with any new mediation process established by legislation is to ensure that the parties have a consistent experience, to the extent possible.
Five out of the thirteen judges on the bench are women – Chief Judge Isaac has recently noted that such a gender balance does not exist on any other Court bench in New Zealand outside of the Supreme Court.
The Ministry provides all necessary operational support to New Zealand courts, including human and financial resources, property, information technology, policy, and any other matter that assists the court in administering justice.
(2) The following matters must be set out in the application:
(a) in respect of the order or certificate of confirmation that is the subject of the application,—
