A whānautrust combines the interests of a whānau (family) into a single trust.

• Whānautrust
This is a whānau-oriented trust. It allows the whānau to
bring together their Māori land interests for the benefit
of the whānau and their descendants
The changes affect all trusts,
including Māori land trusts created through the Māori Land Court
(such as ahu whenua, kaitiaki, and whānautrusts) and existing
trustsestablished before the law came into force.
CORPUS
The land of the Māori incorporation or trust at the
time it is established, plus any land acquired
later that is declared by the Court to form the
main part of the incorporation or trust.
