The Māori Land Court (Te Kooti Whenua
Māori) is the NewZealand court that hears
matters relating to Māori land.
The Māori Land Court is one of the oldest courts in
NewZealand and the work it does is central to the fabric of the Māori
community, and the Māori economy.”
We work closely with Land Information NewZealand (LINZ) to ensure that information about Māori land is accurately recorded and maintained as part of the NewZealand property title and survey system.
Special fixtures are arranged and advertised in accordance
with the provisions of the Mäori Land Court Rules and they
may not necessarily be listed in this publication.
(3) Where the agreement is executed outside NewZealand, the signature of the transferor must be witnessed by:
(a) A notary public; or
(b) A Commissioner of Oaths; or
(c) A Commonwealth Representative; or
(d) A solicitor of the High Court of NewZealand or Australia; or
(e) A Justice of the Peace of Australia
(f) A practising solicitor, lawyer or attorney in the country where it is signed
