In this edition of the Judges’ Corner, I have decided to elaborate further on the Māori Freehold Land Registration Project that was substantively completed in 2010 with tidy up work still being completed.
The lease to be drawn
on the Māori Trustee’s standard form of lease suitably amended or extended as the
lessee and the agent/trustee(s) shall agree on.

This is in a more foetal stage of planning so I do not have much information but I am told it will improve access, accuracy and security of information contained in the Māori Land Court, which is very positive.
