Historically, trust applications were heard by a MāoriLandCourt judge.
Now, if your application is assessed to be ‘simple and
uncontested’, then it can be decided by a MāoriLandCourt
registrar without a court sitting (unless you request to be
heard by a judge in a court sitting).
You can submit your application online in Pātaka Whenua. You can download and edit these PDF forms for the MāoriLandCourt and the Māori Appellate Court applications and email or mail them to us.
Some examples of steps you may consider include:
continuing with a current application in the MāoriLandCourt
submitting a further application to the MāoriLandCourt
seeking advice or continuing with further mediation outside of the MāoriLandCourt
investigating further options if you’re not satisfied with the outcome of mediation.
Upload any documents as required
TIP: If your application form is not showing, please visit Submit an application | MāoriLandCourt
which will give you different options for logging an application.
