Māori incorporations are governed by the Māori Incorporations Constitution Regulations 1994 and run independently of the normal court processes that apply to trusts, but do provide annualreports to the Court.

Te Kooti Whenua Māori – MāoriLandCourt (MLC) is the
New Zealand Court that hears matters relating to Māoriland.
A long-term pattern of poor returns from activities, such as farms that run at a loss.
The land is not being well managed.

register for the Māoriland held by the incorporation.
