Chief Judge of the Court on 13 August 2009, and
sworn in at a ceremony at Pakirikiri Marae in
Tokomaru Bay on 11 September that year.
Judge Caren Fox (Ngāti Porou,
Rongowhakaata) was sworn
in as the Chief Judge of the
Māori Land Court on Thursday
24 August 2023, at The Pā
in Hamilton. The ceremony
presided over by Chief Justice
Helen Winkelmann.
She was appointed Chairperson of the Waitangi Tribunal in August 2023. Chief Judge Fox was also appointed as an Alternate Environment Court Judge in 2009.
