NOTICE OF APPLICATION
SUBJECT OF APPLICATION - BLOCK / DECEASED / OTHER MATTER:
(Please state name and block number of land, Māoriincorporation, person or other matter in respect...
If an owner with Māori Land interests is deceased, and a succession has not previously been dealt with by the Court or a
Registrar, you can use this form to seek a determination from the Court as to those persons entitled to a deceased’s
Māori Land interests and an order transferring the interests to those entitled.
You can search to find trusts, incorporations, Māori reservations as well as other types, and will
be able to find information on:
• the overview of the organisation’s management structure,
• members of the management structure,
• ownership details,
• contact details for the administrator (if available).
The prototype trust order was known as the “Panguru D3 model” and was followed by the “Rawhiti model” which incorporated common use areas in a Māori reservation.
This form should not be used to Appeal against a decision of the Māori Land Court or Māori Appellate Court
nor should it be used to correct an administrative error in a minute or order of the Court.
It would be interesting to see the response if our Māori Land Court required the parties’ written submissions in upcoming cases to be uploaded to the Māori land Court website prior to hearings.
