Pātaka Whenua gives you the ability to search and access Māori land information, submit an enquiry and file a Court application from anywhere at any time.
The Māori Land Court moved to a new database, Pātaka Whenua, in late May 2023 replacing the Māori Land Information System (MLIS).
If the deceased did not leave a will, under the Act, their land will transfer as follows: • If the deceased had children, they receive equal shares of the deceased’s land interests
