WHAT IS THIS FORM FOR?
Trustees are appointed by the Māori Land Court under the jurisdiction set out in s 222 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993. In making appointments two crucial criteria must be considered.

The following applications have been lodged, under sections 113A or 235A of Te Ture Whenua Mäori
Act 1993, for determination by a Registrar which are considered simple and uncontested and can be
dealt with without a formal hearing.
We await confirmation of the details and programme for the Government’s review of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act, and so now is not the time for comment from the judiciary.
