Introduction While hearing succession applications I often find myself suggesting to those appearing in front of me to consider forming a whānau trust.

Once a trust is established, you can apply to the Court to make changes to, review, or terminate, the trust.
If at any stage your application is considered to not be ‘simple and uncontested’ a registrar can refer it to a judge to be heard.
