The Māori Land Court has directed that a hui-a-
owners take place for the sole purpose of an
Election of Trustees, for each of the following
Māori Reservations:
Whakapoungakau No 7A
Whakapoungakau 7B2
Whakapoungakau 7C
Whakapoungakau 7F
Whakapoungakau 7G
There will be five separate hui to electtrustees
to each of the respective blocks.
We note the current lease term expired on 25 July 2022;
The Establishment of an Ahu Whenua Trust;
Elect Responsible Trustee(s) e.g. Māori Trustee (Te Tumu Paeroa);
Elect Advisory Trustee(s); and
Determine the terms of trust e.g.
Final resolution
That an application be filed with the Māori Land Court to constitute the [name of whānau
trust], appoint [list the full names of the electedtrustees] as trustees and approve the draft
trust order.
The Māori Land Court is notifying all owners of the above block about the following hui:

The retiring trustees shall be selected in the following order:
(a) any trustee who wishes to retire and does not offer to stand for re-election;
(b) the trustee who has been longest in office since his or her election, but as between
persons who were electedtrustees on the same day the trustee to retire is to be
determined by lot.
