Water service providers sometimes need to enter land to work on water infrastructure. If they need to enter Māori land, they must ask for the landowner’s permission in writing at least 30 working days before the date they plan to enter.
To sum up then, we have reached a position where Māori land is no longer being lost into the general land system, or fragmented by partition.
A review must be lodged within 20 working days after the determination or order is made or, at the satisfaction of a judge, within a longer period.

Our coming together took place online, joining offices located in all the seven Māori Land Court districts. We were also joined by those who work on Māori land issues from Te Puni Kōkiri.
