The following applications affecting land in this district will be heard under rule 5.2 of the Mäori Land Court
Rules 2011 in the Court districts notified below.
Iwi and hapū are therefore unable to fulfil their obligations as kaitiaki (cultural guardians)
towards their taonga – yet these kaitiaki obligations are central to the survival of Māori culture.
