Now you are able to enter your new password, ensure that your new password:
• is not the same as your old password,
• has a minimum of 10 characters,
• contains at least one capital letter, one number, and one special character (symbol).
For example, if your email is “māorilandcourt123@justice.govt.nz”, then Pātaka Whenua will pick
your Username as “māorilandcourt123”.
3.4 You can change your “Username” if you prefer a different one.
Step 7
Once you are happy with your username and have answered each security question, make sure
to tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions, then click “Register”.
A confirmation page will display. You can click “Login” to access the Pātaka Whenua login page
where you can now enter your username and password to access the portal asa registered user.

In the Pātaka Whenua portal, you can submit an application to the Māori Land Court
regardless of whether you are a registered or guest user.
After logging in, registered users are able to save, close, and come back to the application
submission at a later time.
