Of the approximately 2.3 million ownership interests in Māoriland, anecdotal evidence indicates that about half of these interests are held by deceased persons; many landinterests are owned by the same person under multiple names; and many owners live far from their land and, in some cases, do not know they are owners of Māoriland at all.
Use this form when exchanging some or all of your interests in MāoriLand by sale or gift with some or all of the MāoriLandinterests of a different owner in a different block of MāoriLand.

Te Kooti Whenua Māori – MāoriLand Court (MLC) is the
New Zealand Court that hears matters relating to Māoriland.
Some people become landowners when a whānau member transfers land to them by gift or sale. The MaoriLand Court will ‘vest’ the landinterest by way of a vesting order.
