APPLYING FOR AN OCCUPATION ORDER
Applicants must include all required consents (see above)
with their application, including minutes of the owners’
meeting and the advertisement.
After the judge, registrar, or mediator makes a decision, you will receive the court minutes and orders which will also be documented in the court record.
They need to:
• hold a meeting, in accordance with
Part 9 of the Act, at which they pass
a resolution to establish a Māori
incorporation or
• have 15 percent of the total shareholding
consent and
• send an application with a copy of the
minutes of the meeting to the Māori
Land Court.
