Search for a block

This guide covers two ways to search for a block in the Pātaka Whenua online portal:
• using the Search menu to find a block
• Near Match Search (page 1),
• Exact Match Search (page 4),
• locating it visually with the Block Map (page 7).

You can search the database using the following categories:
• Block
• Document
• Management Structure
• Ownership
Search by Block
You can use the blocksearch option if you know either the block name, block ID, district, land status type, state, LINZ
title reference, or a combination of the options.

1.1 After logging into Pātaka Whenua as a registered user, on the left side click “Search” then “Block” – this will
take you to the BlockSearch
1.2 In the “Block Name” field, start typing the name of the block.
