Accessing Pātaka Whenua
Step 1
In your web browser, visit the MāoriLand Court website www.māorilandcourt.govt.nz and click
the green tab in the top right area labelled “Pātaka Whenua – our online portal”.
LEASE OR OCCUPATION LICENSE:
Trusts over Māori reservation land may issue a lease or
occupation license to enable the land to be occupied or built
on for a period of time.
I nformation provided in all applications forms part of the Court's permanent record under rule 7.19 of the MāoriLand
Court Rules 2011. Where required, information provided in this application will be included in resulting orders of the Court.
(f) The mediation (regardless of whether the mediator is appointed by the parties
or the Court) will be held in accordance with the MāoriLand Court mediation
process, rules and/or protocols as set out in Part 3A of the Act and by any
specific rules of the MāoriLand Court for conducting mediations.
