TAKE NOTICE that Stephen Thomas Ball and Christine Anne Ball have made an application to the Māori Land Court at Whangārei for confirmation of a sale of Te Maika A7 block (RT 31346) (being 2425 square meters more or less) located at 102 Tutukākā Block Road, Tutukākā, Whangārei within the Taitokerau Māori Land Court district. This sale cannot proceed unless the owners give to the preferred classes of alienees a right of first refusal.
Training programmes are currently run out of some Court district offices, although there is no overall consistency in the training offered, and the programmes vary in each region, which means that training is not available to all trustees, and where it is available, it may not be comprehensive.
So it was not uncommon on this project to have a block with an appellation such as this: Waerenga East No 2 B, Waerenga East No 1, Section 7 block 5 Rotoiti Survey District, Maungaroa Kaharoa No 12 block (Amalgamated) Lot C.

The Māori Land Court has released an updated working list of potential owners entitled to
the Toitoi Land (Crown Land Block VIII Lords River Survey District) under Section 15 of
Ngāi Tahu Deed of Settlement 1997.
I
emphasise that the situation is very rare: in my eight years as a Judge in the
Taitokerau district with over 5000 Māori land titles, I have encountered perhaps one
instance of this type.
