Update your contact details by 31 August 2026
In July 2026, the Māori Land Court released an updated list of successors identified in relation to the Hāwea/Wānaka Substitute SILNA Block.
The substitute block is being provided through the Ngāi Tahu Treaty Settlement. The identified successors will take part in the upcoming voting process, about how the land will be received and held.

If your name is on the successor list, please provide your current contact details by 31 August 2026 so you can receive information about the upcoming voting process.
You can update your details by:
- completing the Hāwea/Wānaka Substitute SILNA contact details form found here; or
- emailing mlcsilna@justice.govt.nz
Please encourage any whanaunga named on the list to update their details.
If a successor has passed away
If your whanaunga is named on the list but has passed away, apply to the Māori Land Court for succession.
