These regulations only apply to Māori land blocks that do not have existing trustees or which are not vested in a Māori incorporation.
We invite you as owners in these blocks to bring your whakaaro and kōrero on the health and development of these parts of our whenua that sit alongside Te Awa Tupua. For some applications, landowners will need to notify other owners of their application to the Court ahead of time so they can attend hui, support the application, make a payment offer, or object to the application.
It is the exchange of ideas, the recital of whakapapa to make connections, and where challenges can be laid down. At the court hearing or mediation, a Judge or mediator will guide the kōrero about your application.

Paneke are an opportunity for court users based in smaller towns and centres to meet with our kaimahi and kōrero about: completing application forms submitting an enquiry searching the court record updates on current applications and enquiries updating information in Pātaka Whenua other services normally available at a Māori Land Court office.
Applications are grouped by District and include the application reference number, the date on which the application was received by the Court, the subject of the application, the authority under which the application is made and the applicant(s).
